Research

My research is related to the development of computational models and their application to environmental fluid mechanics problems. My studies have mainly focused on meshless Lagrangian particle-based methods, such as smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) and moving particle semi-implicit (MPS). I am particularly interested in the following topics:

  • Particle-based methods (MPS, SPH)
  • Computational fluid dynamics
  • Experimental fluid dynamics

  • Coupled solution strategies (particle-mesh coupling)

  • Offshore renewable energy

  • Fluid-structure interaction

  • Sloshing
  • Green water
  • Ice-wave interaction
  • Coastal engineering

  • Water Supply and Drainage for Buildings
