Research
My research is related to the development of computational models and their application to environmental fluid mechanics problems. My studies have mainly focused on meshless Lagrangian particle-based methods, such as smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) and moving particle semi-implicit (MPS). I am particularly interested in the following topics:
- Particle-based methods (MPS, SPH)
- Computational fluid dynamics
- Experimental fluid dynamics
- Coupled solution strategies (particle-mesh coupling)
- Offshore renewable energy
- Fluid-structure interaction
- Sloshing
- Green water
- Ice-wave interaction
- Coastal engineering
- Water Supply and Drainage for Buildings
